A new report from Bloomberg suggests Activision will delay next year’s Call of Duty game. This would apparently make 2023 the first year without a mainline release in two decades.
This information comes from “people familiar with the plan” and was reportedly a decision made “completely independently” of Microsoft. The main factor behind this is believed to be due to Call of Duty: Vanguard failing to meet expectations, and Activision’s own concerns about stacked releases.
