Family fun for all ages.

If you wanted to get a friend or loved one hooked on the Nintendo Switch, what game would you choose for them? Feature: Pick One: Which Game In The Mass Effect Series Did You Start With?

The first one? Andromeda? Tell us!

It’s time for another round of Pick One! Today, following the release of Mass Effect Legendary Edition earlier this week, we thought we’d take a look back at the series and ask one question – which game did you start with?

Were you there at the beginning with Mass Effect on Xbox 360 in 2007, or did you wait for Mass Effect 2 or 3? Maybe the release of Andromeda in 2017 was your first experience, or even the Legendary Edition this week?

Soapbox: Game Genres Are Broken

I love AAA F2P VR PvE FPS MMORPGs.

If your mum asked you if you wanted to watch a romantic period drama with her for Mother’s Day, you’d know what to expect. Two hours of unrelenting pining between two extremely good-looking people in silly outfits, kept apart by some ridiculous social convention, at least one ludicrously sexy scene where one of the good-looking people falls in a lake, or gets shot and has to take their top off, and then they get married at the end.

If your dad requested a movie night with a bunch of ’80s action movies, again, you’d already know quite a few of the tropes. Bruce Willis, Tom Cruise, and Sylvester Stallone try to break into an underground wrestling crime ring run by the German Mafia to rescue their daughter, wife, and best friend from a plane crash before the President finds out. And then, at the end, they all turn out to be androids!

Hades Could Finally Be Coming to PlayStation

By the gods.

Hades, the gorgeous rogue-like action title that won so many Game of the Year awards, could finally be carving a path to PlayStation. As reported by Gematsu, Hades has received an age rating in Korea, for PS4.

These age ratings aren’t always concrete proof that a game is making the jump, but more often than not, they’re an indicator that something’s happening behind the scenes. Hopefully we get an official announcement sooner rather than later.

Guide: All Original Xbox Games You Can Play With Backwards Compatibility

List of backwards compatible Xbox games on Xbox One, Series X, Series S.

One of the best things about modern Xbox consoles in the year 2021 is that you can still play hundreds of great games spanning the history of the brand, including from both the original Xbox and the Xbox 360.

In the case of the original Xbox though, there aren’t actually as many compatible titles as you might think, with just 42 supported in all. That said, some of them have received fantastic upgrades that make them look legitimately like new games in 4K, and there are some real classics featured amongst the bunch.

Poll: Did You Buy Mass Effect Legendary Edition?

Back to the future.

After a whole console generation of waiting, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is finally here — a fully remastered and party reworked collection of all three games in BioWare’s original sci-fi trilogy. What a time to be alive!

Many an existing Mass Effect fan will no doubt have already had Legendary Edition pre-ordered, but we wonder whether this remastered package will pave the way for a new generation of Commander Shepard enthusiasts. After all, it’s quite easy to forget that the first Mass Effect is now 14 years old.
